The wise Herbie Hancock once said, "Music happens to be an art form that transcends language." We here, at Mousa, are here to provide your earbuds a wide array of musical taste. Through generations, music has become more accessible, and has easily become a quintessential part of ones' lifestyle. We may not get everything, but we sure will show you our passion for music. Coming from the Philippines, one of our goals is to take music in this country to a global scale; apart from recognizing international hits and unique music from all over the world, we also aim to expose local artists and acknowledge their artistic endeavour. We hope you enjoy browsing Mousa as much as we enjoy sharing the music we find.
Meet The Team
SAI VILLAFUERTE
My name is Sai Villafuerte, born and bred in Manila, Philippines. I started my interest in blogging back in October 2011, when I established odyssai - a blog which initially started out to be fashion-centric, but now has evolved to something more universal. It's not just about fashion anymore, but general lifestyle, health, music, art, and essentially every other interest I happen to have.Fashion aside, music has always been a great interest I had - I've always been in love with it. It's wasn't until now (April 2012) that I've decided to do something about it. Although I've only began blogging about music now, I've been making mixes since 2010. (You can check some of them out here, if you fancy!) I find it a pleasure to share music with my peers; and with this blog, I find it all much more convenient. I am able to appreciate all types of music, but I tend to lean towards electronic dance music (EDM), and indie.
I'm hoping that with Mousa, I will be able to broaden your musical horizons, providing you with a wide range of genres you'll be able to appreciate; be it hip-hop, rap, indie, house, trance. Or maybe a genre you've never even heard before! Whatever it may be, I hope Jee, Emily, and I can be of some help. After all, we're all here for the music.

JEEWON LEE
What's up everyone? I'm Jee Lee and I was born in Seoul, South Korea. I moved here before I turned two - so I'm practically Pinay! I'm a first-time blogger, and I'm glad that I have these two awesome b*tches (also my best friends) by my side to help me out and work as a team to make this blog an enjoyable, meaningful read for all of you.Like most of you, I'm an avid fan of music. I've been playing the piano for twelve years now - that makes music one of the earliest things in this world I was exposed to. Music, to me, is an art of expression; it's a creative and skillful portrayal of genuineness. Music is philosophy, mathematics, art, history, language. Music is a universal force, and I find myself so drawn to this powerful element.
I'm an "open listener"; my favorite artists range from J.Cole to Chicane. As a teenage pianist with a passion for improvisation and love for music in the past, I am particularly a fan of indie, rock, and classics. I honestly, however, do love every single type of music. The true beauty in Mousa is that it's going to be filled with such a wide variety of music - and like my fellow creators, I hope that this blog becomes your daily source of multiple eargasms.

EMILY SUTTON
Hello there, I'm Emily Sutton and I was born, just like my fellow blogger, in Manila, Philippines. It's funny because I've never actually had the determination to, just like those silly diaries, start and continue a blog. Sure, I enjoy writing and spreading my thoughts with people, but I've never taken an interest in doing so through the cyber world. However, I think that along with my two best friends, sharing our common passion for music in all its glory through this simple blog, is not an idea that I was prepared to dismiss.I've always had a fascination with music. It's possibly the best way to escape the real world and enter another one with an open, calm and free mind - music has this power to turn off the rest of the world. Every genre interests me and I do like to listen to different things here and there.
However, my ears do belong to house, electro, indie, alternative and hip-hop/R&B. We've got a lot in store for you guys and I do hope you enjoy our wide range in music tastes. We're here to bring you eargasms everyday and yes, just like Sai said, it's the music that counts.
